“Bishop Stearns Hatch of South Bountiful ward was given a birthday party last Saturday, Dec, 6, attended by his mother, Mrs. Jane B. Hatch, and his sons and daughters, with their wives and husbands. The party was in commemoration of his sixtieth birthday, and was held at, his home. About 25 people, including only his immediate relatives and a few friends, were in attendance, and all enjoyed the occasion immensely. As a token of their love for him, the relatives presented the bishop with a handsome gold watch. Bishop Hatch is the son of the late Ira S. Hatch. He has been bishop in the South Bountiful ward since 1905, and through his interest in the ward has gained the love and respect of the many members. At the age of 60 he is in excellent health, and is active and energetic in the discharge of the many duties that fall to the father of a ward.”
